Charming walk

Because of this I wrote the following poem (free verse). As you will see I’m not much of a poet, but I hope you feel the sentiment behind it.

Rays of Promise

In silence the beauty shines
From rainbow fingers fine
Through filtered leaves they stream
A promise to perform.

When rainbows appear without the rain
A message of love is shown
To remind us all of the caring
From our beloved one.

Those that lay beneath are not forgotten
The rainbow finds them still
For those that stand upon the ground
The colours surround them all.

Special rainbows so rarely appear
Like winter butterflies
Should you be blessed to see one
Remember the message deep inside.

His love for you will always show
Through the colourful rays of promise
Allow yourself the honour
To be kissed by his tender lips.
