SKF Writing for Children

I've been a children's writer for seven years and a ICT teaching assistant at a junior school. I'm a lover of butterflies and cats. I love Tai chilly crisps and mint crumbles. Favourite food freshly cooled Lobster, champange and strawberries.

What a few weeks!

Life has been a bit hectic over the last few weeks. My poor computer has been infected with horrid Trojans and stuff. But she is back feeling a lot better now with new protection.
I've been trying to update my submission listings only to find it really hard to get a response from those holding/reading my work. I'm not complaining, but I would like to know if I should start a new project or wait a little longer. I've got a few ideas developing nicely, plotting, character building etc, but I don't want to start writing up something new when with luck I might have to do a rewrite or work with an agent or publisher to prepare for publication. I can hope if nothing more.
I've had great news from a writing friend of mine who has recently got an agent. Another friend has just signed an amazing publishing deal and is set for big things. It is wonderful to be around people who are moving forward. It just goes to show it can be done. When the time is right for you.
For me, I'm moving forward, but not as fast as I would like. I can't give up now. I've come so much further than I could have believed years ago. I've still got a way to go, I know that, but I am moving in the right direction.

Lovely to hear from you San. And I'm glad you like the blog. I only wish I could get some more comments and people popping by to take a look. But I guess that comes in time.
