SKF Writing for Children

I've been a children's writer for seven years and a ICT teaching assistant at a junior school. I'm a lover of butterflies and cats. I love Tai chilly crisps and mint crumbles. Favourite food freshly cooled Lobster, champange and strawberries.

What a week!

What a horrid week! and to top it all it's raining. Not just a little but bloody great clouts of rain bashing on the top of my head when I was dragging my shopping in from the car. 130 foot to drag it down and through the garden without cover. And I had to do the run twice...I'd bought too much and too many heavy things. This does mean now I have food. Well I'll have some until my son finds it!!

On the writing front, I'm getting to the final parts of Troggle my latest 7-9 year book. But I've been sneaking off and building my own website. Its far from ready but I seem to have mastered the hyperlink. Now I have to work out what I want to put on each section. They'll be lists of my children's books, drama workshops and resources, ICT lesson plans (KS1 & KS2), ideas for after school clubs along with resources for each of these areas. This has led to me considering writing educational book for ICT lessons. Strangely I hadn't thought of this before. I've not yet produced a non-fiction book, this would be my first.

I've discovered the latest writing competition I've entered hasn't sent back my acknowledgment card. This is bad. I sent in my best picture book story and hope it has arrived. I can't contact them until Monday this weekend will seem a long one until I can phone and check. I'm hoping I've still got time to resubmit.

I must dash now as I've got to get some serious writing done. Until next time....
