Warhammer Convention...

After an early morning dropping my son off to catch the coach to Birmingham (6am up at 4:30 to cook sausages for his lunch time roll) I'm beginning to flag. My stomach believes its lunch time and is shouting loudly! My eyes are asking to go back to sleep (the dogs nextdoor were barking until 1am) then I had to get up to let the cat out. She'd decided it was morning and I should be feeding her too. (She didn't get any food, well not until 6:15 when I arrived back home). She's now happily sleeping on my bed and I'm about to attack a pile of ironing. Where is the fairness?
My son has been looking forward to this convention for months and has been saving up to buy loads of stuff. His words not mine. I'm hoping he is going to take some photos that I can load up here for you to see the fun of the whole day.
With the whole day ahead, I'm aiming to finish the last pages of my latest novel and get the first draft printed off. In a way I'm looking forward to sticking it in a drawer and leaving it to mature before I get to do my first re-edit.
I'm about to start reading Seeker by William Nicholson. I'm really looking forward to this the first book in the trilogy - The Noble Warriors.
I'm also eagerly awaiting the book launch of Rift by Beverley Birch which is due out in October.
I've just finished the saga of Darren Shan Bampire Blood trilogy. The Darren Shan books were great. If you have a child of 12+ they will love these. My Son (15) has on order the next book due out in October and has read all and has all of the Darren Shan books. They way they are written really appeals to boys. Once I've finished Seeker and Rift I'll be returning for the next Darren Shan. All this and also writing my own children's books.
That's it for now...
